Doris L. Shahan, 50, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at 11:50 p.m., in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born July 10, 1951, in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of Mary Lou Smith Verba of Whitsett, and the late Steve Verba.

In addition to her mother, she is survived are one daughter, Traci Shahan, two sons, Jim Shahan and wife, Bonnie, both of Perryopolis, and Chris and wife, Lisa of Fayette City, Pa.; the following grandchildren, Abigail Grant, Sophie Shahan, Sadie Shahan and newborn, Ian Shahan; and one brother, Steve Verba and wife, Donna and daughter, Stephanie of Perryopolis.

A Memorial Service will be held at the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence St., Perryopolis, on Friday, June 14, 2002, at 10 a.m., with Mr. Mike Vindivich officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to The American Leukemia Society.
