William Cornell (Bill) Lewis, 71, Uniontown, Pa., died at 2:15 p.m., on April 15, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. Bill was born at Oliphant Furnace, Pa., on March 11, 1931, to Edyth Bryner and Paul Lewis.

He was a resident of Uniontown, for the past 48 years. He was employed by United States Steel Corporation, in Homestead, for 36 years before retiring.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Carol (Boza) Lewis; a son, William Lewis Jr.; his mother, Edyth Bryner; father, Paul Lewis; and stepfather, Steve Korintus.

Bill is survived by his wife, Mabel (Braddee) Lewis; three sons, Steve of Ohio, Wayne of Florida, and Russell of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Zuzette (Lewis) Durst of Ohio; three stepchildren, Charles Churby, Brenda (Churby) Skinner and Raylene (Hart) Michalides; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, handled the arrangements for the interment at the Walnut Hill Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2002, at 6 p.m., at Church of the Nazarene, 8 Jeffrey Lane, Route 857, Uniontown, Pa., with the Rev. Howard Foust presiding.
