C. David Hellen
C. David Hellen of Greensboro, Pa., died Saturday, June 15, 2002, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born June 29, 1942, in Gans, Pa., son of the now late Frank O. Hellen and Pauline Wimer Hellen.
He was a member of Mapletown United Methodist Church, was affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America serving as Scoutmaster of Troop 1270, and was a peacetime Veteran who served with the United States Air Force.
He was a retired Coal Miner and member of United Mine Workers of America Greensboro Local Union 6310.
He is survived by his wife, June Lott Hellen; their children: Troy Hellen and wife, Lori, of Jefferson, Pa., Hope and husband, Mark Blanker, of Point Marion, Pa., Frank Hellen and wife, Jamie, of Cheat Lake, West Virginia, Lisa and husband, Randy Rice, of Baltimore, Maryland; three grandchildren: Joshua, Jenna, Emily; brother and sisters: Arnold Hellen and wife, Patty, of Gans, Pa., Anna Marie Saterfield of Sandusky, Ohio, Jane Taylor and husband, George, of Gans, Pa., and Sherry Lewis and husband, Allan, of Shippensburg, Pa.; his aunt, Ruth Hellen of Smithfield, Pa.; aunt and uncle, Helen and J. R. Fritzman of Petersburg, West Virginia; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Friends will be received at the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME OF SMITHFIELD, Pa., on Monday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 18, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro, Pa.
