Stanley M. Brachna
Stanley M. Brachna, age 78, of Chestnut Ridge, Pa., passed away in Uniontown Hospital on Tuesday, June 11, 2002. He was born on May 25, 1924, in Smock, Pa., the son of the late Andrew Brachna and Ruth (Gondola) Brachna.
Stanley was a retired Foreman from United States Steel’s coal mines.
He was a Veteran of World War II who served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre of War on the U.S.S. Vicksburg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Archual) Brachna in August of 1988, and a sister, Florence Warnick.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Staggers of Chestnut Ridge, Pa., and a son, Stanley R. Brachna of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother, Ralph N. Brachna of Normalville, Pa.; and a loving granddaughter, Lori Karam and husband, Tony, of Allison Park, Pa.; and a great granddaughter, Kylie Marie Karam.
Private services were held and entombment followed at Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., were in charge of arrangements.
