June 17, 2002 Woman assaulted
Mary Ellen Wilson of Madison Avenue told city police that someone known to her hit her in the face at 4:35 p.m. Friday.

Door damaged
Colletta Weimer of Lemon Street told city police that someone kicked in her back door at 2:46 p.m. Friday. Weimer told police nothing was taken from her home. Damage was estimated at $100.

Man jailed
Greg Skinkis, 39, of 18 Morgantown St. was placed in Fayette County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and resisting arrest stemming from two different incidents Friday night.
According to city police, Skinkis was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred at 205 E. Main St. at 11:49 p.m. Friday, in which Skinkis allegedly jumped Dave Hennessey at his home.
Police added additional charges after Skinkis became unruly, yelling profanities and attempting to punch an officer at the Uniontown Hospital at 12:45 a.m. Saturday when police transported him there for lacerations sustained in the first incident.
Skinkis was taken before District Justice Jesse Cramer and placed in jail after failing to post $1,500 cash bond. A hearing is scheduled before District Justice Mark Blair at 2 p.m. June 24.

Purse taken
Mary Crum, 43, of Mount Braddock told state police that between 9:30 and 11:45 p.m. Saturday her vehicle parked at the Hutchinson Sportsman Club was forcibly entered and her purse containing $86 and miscellaneous items removed.

Shots fired
State police said that two juveniles reported a 38 year-old Vanderbilt man was shooting a 9 mm Ruger pistol at a residence along Route 201 at 2 p.m. on June 7 while the two were down range of the shots.

Assault
Shawn Smitley, 17, of Point Marion told state police that a man assaulted him along Route 166, north of Point Marion at 10 p.m., June 10. An investigation is ongoing.

Charges filed
State police said charges of disorderly conduct were lodged against two juveniles for fighting in Ronco at 8 p.m. Friday.

Post damaged
James Reed Martin, 51, of Connellsville told state police that between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Saturday his mailbox post along Breakneck Road was damaged.

Charges pending
Charges of harassment and disorderly conduct are pending against a Lake Lynn woman.
Police claim she entered into an altercation with Jeanine Hurtt and Marina Staffino both of Smithfield outside a residence along Mark Drive in Outcrop at 2 a.m. Saturday.
