Seven sent to hospital after vehicles collide

DUNBAR TWP. – Seven people were transported to various hospitals following a late Sunday two-vehicle collision along Ridge Boulevard. Four of the injured were transported by Fayette EMS to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville while three others were taken to by StatMedivac to the University of Pittsburgh Center (UPMC) following the 10 p.m. accident.

According to a UPMC spokeswoman, Sam Thorpe, 26, no address given, was released Monday from the facility after being treated for injuries, while no information was available on two unidentified people also taken to the hospital.

Matthew Burkholder, James Lovasz, Tanya Burley and Christopher Lehman were treated for injuries at Highlands Hospital, according to a hospital supervisor.

No addresses or ages were available on those injured.

State police at Uniontown has not released information concerning the cause of the accident, or identified any other persons involved in the collision.
