Charles E. “Chuck” Jacobs, 58, of Ottsville, Pa., died Friday, June 14, 2002, in Doylestown Hospital. He was born July 3, 1943, in Mt. Independence, Pa., son of Regina Kern Jacobs and the late Charles E. Jacobs Sr.

Chuck was employed as an electrician for 36 years at Warminister Naval Air Development Center. He retired in 1998, as a general electrical foreman.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a life member of the NRA, a member of First Presbyterian Church of Willow Grove, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the W. K. Bray Lodge No. 410, F. & A.M., Hatboro, & the Lehigh Consistory. He was also a member of the Keelerville Club.

He was a graduate of North Union High School, Class of 1961.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Jacobs in 1993.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda K. Crossland Jacobs; sons, Ty Jacobs and wife, Cathy of Hilltown, Pa., and Brad Jacobs and wife, Tammy of Spinnerstown, Pa.; three beloved granddaughters, Heather, Shelbie and Regina; a brother, Curtis Jacobs and wife, Patty of Lemont Furnace; and a sister, Ruth Ann Baker of Norfolk, Va.

Friends will be received today in the SHELLY FUNERAL HOME, Plumsteadville, Pa. Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Friends will be received in the Cove Run Free Methodist Church (Yauger Hollow) Lemont Furnace, on Friday, June 21, 2002, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Roger Yeager officiating. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Charles E. Jacobs Memorial fund for his grandchildren. Information pertaining to the fund is available at the funeral home.
