Leonard A. Corazzi
Leonard A. (Beezer) Corazzi, 71, of Fredericktown (Newtown), Pa., died Monday, June 17, 2002, at 7:50 p.m., in his home. He was born Oct. 6, 1930, in Fredericktown, a son of Bruno (Slick) and Jennie Lee George Corazzi.
Mr. Corazzi graduated from East Bethlehem High School, in 1949, and served with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He retired from LTV Steel Corporations Hazelwood Works on Nov. 5, 1985, and was a member of the United Steelworkers of American.
He was a member of the St. Michael Church of the St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown, where he was an adult server.
Mr. Corazzi was an avid Notre Dame football fan.
He was also a former member of the Loyal Order of Owls No. 1038, and the L.O.O.M. Lodge, both in Fredericktown, and he also belonged to the Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391 of Fredericktown.
On March 5, 1955, he married Joan L. Sherman Corazzi, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Timothy Sullivan of Houston, Pa., Gary Sullivan of Lawrence, Pa., Thomas Corazzi of McClellandtown, Pa., Leonard (Buzzy) Corazzi II of Fredericktown, Pa., and Jefferey Corazzi of Fredericktown, Pa.; a daughter, Janet Corazzi of Washington, Pa.; a brother, Edward G. Corazzi of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and 15 grandchildren.
A sister Anita Joyce Corazzi died at birth.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank St., at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, today and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002 at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial in the St. Michael Church of the St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Edward S. Litavec officiating. Burial will be in the Fredericktown Cemetery. A Parish Vigil will be held at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday in the funeral home. Military rites will be accorded by the Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391 of Fredericktown.
