Mr. and Mrs. James E. Chambers of Uniontown announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Ann Chambers, to Michael Todd Smitley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Smitley, also of Uniontown. The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 2002 graduate of Penn State University where she earned an associate degree in nursing. She is employed in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Her fiance is a 1996 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. He is a department manager at Lowe’s.

A wedding for Sept. 20, 2003, at Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown, is being planned.
