Kim Elrod of Madin, N.C. and Craig Golden of Dunbar are engaged to be married. The bride-elect is the daughter of Gary and Teresa Elrod of Lenoir, N.C.

She is a graduate of Bandy’s High School.

Her fiance is the son of Larry Golden of Dunbar and Cathy Quinlan of Etters.

He is serving with the United States Navy, stationed at Virgina Beach, Va.

An Aug. 10 wedding is planned.
