The post office would like to remind you that, if your mailbox is vandalized, you should contact the local police and file a report. Anyone caught vandalizing mailboxes will be fined, imprisoned or both, according to post office code 1705 and 1708.
Back home
Norma Allison and her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Larry Chalfant went off to Italy for a two-week visit recently. Norma and her family spent five days with her son Jeff Allison in his marble-trimmed apartment in Naples. Jeff’s apartment is up a steep cliff in Naples with a view of the Mediterranean Sea. While they were in the neighborhood, Norma, Leslie and Larry visited Naples, Rome, the Isle of Capri, Florence and Venice and took the traditional tourist ride in a gondola. The Allison crew also took a ride on Adalfi Drive in the south of Italy. Adalfi Drive is the steep road with multiple switch back turns that is often used in movies made in Italy.
Jeff usually lives in Virginia but is currently on the job for the Department of the Navy in Naples. Jeff’s wife, Lorraine, and their three children, Catherine, Mary and William are going to Italy to visit next week and his daughter, Catherine, will celebrate her first Holy Communion in the Vatican on June 27.
Norma also recently went with Ethel Allison to Fredericksburg, Va., for the wedding of Ethel Allison’s granddaughter Paula.
