Four arrested

State police at Waynesburg reported that four men were arrested, arraigned and lodged in the Greene County Jail on burglary charges and related offenses after a break-in at Gene Yost and Sons Inc. in Mount Morris between midnight and 2:58 a.m. Saturday.

Arrested were Aaron N. Allon, 18, William L. Moffit, 18, and Luca Pennisi, 19, all of Morgantown, W.Va., and Shawn M. McCracken, 20, of Waynesburg.

According to police, the four men allegedly entered the office and stole a Rugar .44-caliber Magnum revolver, a 12-gauge, single shot, sawed-off shotgun, five registration plates, two bottles of whiskey, one bottle of vodka, various tools and supplies.

Police said the four then left the scene and drove to Greensboro, where they allegedly threw a rock through the window of the Grocery Bag store, setting off the alarm. While responding to the alarm, officers observed a vehicle matching the description of the car seen leaving the Grocery Bag and stopped it.

A search of the vehicle revealed bolt cutters, suspected marijuana, several items listed as taken from Gene Yost and Sons and three bottles of alcohol, according to police. The accused were remanded to Greene County Jail on $200,000 cash bond. Police are continuing their investigation.
