Blood appeal issued

5 min read

The American Red Cross is issuing another appeal for blood as donations continue to be low. Officials said, “As of today, we have not collected enough to meet the goal that is based upon hospital usage.

Cancer patients, accident victims and premature babies are some of the people whose lives depend on having that blood.’

Upcoming American Red Cross blood drives include:

– Thursday, American Legion Post 51, Uniontown, 1 to 7 p.m., Farmington Fire Hall, 1 to 7 p.m. and Uniontown Hospital, Heritage Conference Room, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.;

– Monday, July 1, Uniontown Mall, Community Room, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.;

– July 9: First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville, 1 to 7 p.m.

– July 17, Firemen’s Social Hall, Dunbar Street, Uniontown, noon to 6 p.m.;
