Two-vehicles collide

State police in Waynesburg said Nathan S. Borovichka, 22, of Waynesburg and Lisa A. Bennett, 37, of Waynesburg were involved in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Routes 188 and 221 at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, but Bennett had a minor injury and was taken to Greene County Memorial Hospital.

Theft reported

State police in Waynesburg said Stanley Nakonechni, 55, reported that speakers, power tools and Percocet were stolen from his Whites Ridge Road home sometime between June 7 and 17.

State police in Waynesburg said Gary Moon’s mailbox along Minor Lane was smashed Sunday or Monday.

Longhorns loose

State police in Waynesburg said longhorn cattle were found along North Liberty Street at 8:45 p.m. Monday. Police said the owner or anyone knowing the owner should call Orville King at 724-627-8936.

DUI charged

State police in Waynesburg charged Amy Lou Diehl, 20, of Buchanan Street, Mt. Morris, with driving under the influence of alcohol following traffic stop at 11:50 p.m. May 25 on Route 21 near Sugar Run Road. Police said a breath test showed the driver had a blood alcohol content of .223 percent.

Mower stolen

William Donald Grimes, 33, told state police in Waynesburg that a Powercraft push mower with a grass catcher was stolen from his garage on June 18.

State police in Waynesburg said rubbish was scattered on Melissa Jane Stanley’s property along Hunting Hills Road last week.

Man cited

State police in Uniontown cited Brian R. Kozy, 18, of Masontown with criminal mischief for allegedly slicing a tire on a van owned by Yum Yum Tasty Donuts on Restaurant Row at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

Windows damaged

State police in Uniontown said two windows on the Ames Department Store along Route 51 were damaged at 2:45 a.m. Monday.

Two cars collide

Charles Mislovich of Uniontown and Richard M. Farrier Jr. of Pittsburgh were involved in a two-vehicle crash on Morgantown Road at 12:50 p.m. on June 20, state police in Uniontown said. Farrier and his passenger Lori Farrier suffered minor injuries.

State police in Uniontown said a window screen on Robert Bevan’s trailer was damaged last week.

Seven vehicles egged

City police said officers patrolling the West End at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday discovered that eggs had been thrown on seven parked vehicles. The vehicles were parked on Kensington Street, Kensington Circle, Johnson Avenue, Gilmore Street, Moore Street and Ben Lomond Street.

Woman cited

City police cited Melody Jordan, 43, of 15 Fairmont Ave. with public drunkenness after they saw her staggering topless along North Gallatin Avenue at 6:20 p.m. Monday. Police told her to put her shirt back on, cited her and then released her.

Juvenile arrested

City police said a juvenile was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center in Greensburg after he attempted to flee from police in a stolen car Monday night. Police said the 17-year-old boy ran a red light on Searight Avenue then led police on a chase that ended on Trader Street where the vehicle became disabled.

Luzerne Township

Monthly report

Luzerne Township police have released the May activity report.

Officers patrolled 1,793 miles, issued 19 traffic citations and served two warrants.

There were two calls for alarm activations, one assault with an arrest made, and one call each to assist ambulance crews and fire departments. Luzerne police assisted Brownsville police three times and Redstone police once and the Brownsville school police once. Redstone Township police assisted Luzerne police seven times during the month.

Officers handled three complaints about all terrain vehicles, one burglary and one case of cocaine possession, with one arrest made. There were two arrests for criminal conspiracy and three arrests for criminal trespassing.

There were three cases of criminal mischief, one disabled vehicle, and six arrests for disorderly conduct. The department handled four disturbances, two domestic disputes, and two dog complaints. One person was arrested for defiant trespassing and one was arrested for driving under the influence.

There were two fights, two hang-up calls to 9-1-1, three cases of harassment with one arrest made and one arrest was made for public drunkenness.

Two arrests were made for receiving stolen property. Two suspicious vehicles were reported to police. There were five thefts, with the items taken worth a total of $2,760. Threats were reported to the police twice, with one arrest made. There were three traffic accidents, one traffic complaint and one case of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Police made one arrest for underage drinking, had three vehicles towed and received 12 complaints in miscellaneous categories.

Man charged

Police filed charges of public drunkenness against Robert Strzelecki, 58, of Connellsville after he was allegedly found in an intoxicated condition and sleeping along the bike trail on June 20.

Trespass charged

Police filed charges of criminal trespass against James Camp, 28, of Connellsville after he was allegedly found at North Manor on June 21.

Police said Camp has been restricted from entering the area by the Connellsville Housing Authority.

Harassment filed

Police filed charges of harassment against Ronald D. Burton, 51, of 98 Gibson Terrace after he allegedly punched a Connellsville woman several times about the head and face on June 21.

Police did not identify the alleged victim.

Man charged

Police filed charges of harassment against James A. Shroyer, 40, of 127 Mt. Tabor Rd., Normalville, after he allegedly threw a bottle at a 13-year-old female during an incident along East Crawford Avenue on June 21.
