Salute planned Celebration set

An Independence Day celebration honoring policemen will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Center In The Woods. California mayor, Gerald Gardner will lead the celebration in honor of the local California police officers. A certificate of appreciation will be given to the California Police Department by the Center In The Woods.

Special music will be provided by Arabelle Lancaster and Germaine Johns, well known area artists and musicians who reside in Brownsville. Those attending are encouraged to wear red, white and blue in honor of the occasion, and to express their appreciation to these officers who serve and protect our communities.
