Man cited
City police filed a citation against John Murphy, 34, of 94 Collins Ave., Uniontown, for allegedly violating the city’s ordinance prohibiting the use of fireworks. Police said Murphy lit and threw several packs of firecrackers on the sidewalk in front of his residence at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday.

Charge filed
City police filed an indirect criminal contempt charge against Dale C. Hall, 38, of 301 Morgantown St., Uniontown, for allegedly walking past the Penn Street residence of Lori Hall and threatening to kill her at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Vehicle stolen
State police in Uniontown said a 1990 Yamaha YFS200 owned by Serena Richter of Connellsville was taken from a residence along Frogtown Road Wednesday morning.

Man cited
State police in Uniontown cited Charles R. Walters, 41, of McClellandtown with disorderly conduct following an incident at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday in an area near 66 Long Street.

Window broken
State police in Uniontown said somebody broke a window on Evelyn Harris’s home at 2 Howard Court at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Burglary reported
Two unidentified men entered Fairchance Tobacco Outlet on Route 857 at 4:15 a.m. Thursday and took a money box containing approximately $1,700, state police in Uniontown said. The men entered through a front window, police said.

One-car accident
State police in Belle Vernon said Bradley Blose, 21, of Tarentum hit a utility pole along southbound Route 51 at 4:30 a.m. Thursday. The driver was not injured.

Paint damaged
Richard M. Pahula, 47, of Brownsville told state police that an unknown substance was splashed on his vehicle marring the paint while it was parked in front of his Brashear Avenue home in Hiller between 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Accident
State police said minor injuries were reported when vehicles operated by Patricia Metz, 24, of Fairchance and Lynn Sanner, 25, of Connellsville sideswiped at 4:08 p.m. Monday on Broadford Road. Both drivers suffered minor cuts from broken glass.

Burglary
Sommer Huseman of Hiller told police that between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday her Fourth Street home was entered and the following items valued at $5,210 removed: 1993 Kawasaki dirt bike, stand for the bike, Lawnboy lawn mower, spare tire for the dirt bike, weed trimmer, 2 MVP hand jacks, a racing helmet and female racing pants.

Missing person
State police said that Brian Richard Harshman, 16, of Scottdale was reported as missing from his residence in Terrace Acres since 10 p.m. June 19. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call state police at (724) 929-6262.
