Tillie M. Jordan
Tillie M. Buttermore Jordan, 74, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and formerly of the Fairchance area, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Rose Lane Nursing Home, Canal Fulton, Ohio, after a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Oliphant Furnace, Pa., daughter of the late Samuel James Buttermore and Rose C. Miller Buttermore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Louis Jordan Jr.
Tillie was an avid reader, crossword player, bingo player and loved crocheting and craft making.
Tillie loved and enjoyed socializing with her family, which she is survived by the following children, Cheryl Carr and husband, Keith of Lady Lake, Fla., Sherree Spurling and husband, John of Wellington, Ohio, Sheila Keteles and husband, Tim of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and Timmy Jordan and wife, Donna of Daytona Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Danny Carr, Kelly Spurling, Laura Carr, Little Timmy Jordan, Billy Jordan, Sarah Keteles and Ryan Keteles; and one great-grandson, J. T. Carr. Also surviving are sisters and brothers, Betty Bealko of Nemacolin, Pa., Robert Buttermore and wife, Sandy of Roscoe, Pa., Samuel William Buttermore and wife, Jo of Dania, Fla., and Mary Phillips of Fairchance, Pa.; a special niece, Sharon Smith and husband, Rusty and family of Fairchance; and other loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., on Saturday, June 29, 2002, from 9 a.m. to noon, the hour of service, with the Rev. Terry Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery, Somerset County, Pa.
