Drug arrest
An 18-year-old Allison man was arrested on various drug charges after he was stopped for driving the wrong way on Beeson Boulevard, city police said.
Regis L. Grooms is facing charges of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver PCP, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of instruments of crime and two traffic violations. Sgt. Fred Balsley filed the charges.
Police said in addition to the drugs, Grooms was in possession of a restraint vest. He was arraigned before District Justice Brenda Cavalcante and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $10,000 straight cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. on May 6 before District Justice Mark Blair.

Cabin fire
North Union Township, West Leisenring, Hopwood, Farmington and Ohiopyle volunteer fire departments were dispatched to a cabin on fire on Jumonville Road at 4:25 a.m. Monday, according to the Fayette County 911 Center.
Uniontown Fireman’s EMS also responded. No injures were reported and units left the scene at 6:43 a.m.

Theft
A piece of construction equipment was taken from the berm of Moyer Road between 8 a.m. April 15 and 8:30 a.m. April 22, state police said.
A Npkhofpac 200 dirt compactor was taken from the site. The owner is D&M Construction Inc. of New Alexandria.

Simple assault
State police said charges of simple assault are pending against two men for a fight that occurred on Main Street at 4:25 p.m. April 23.
The men are from Adah and Chalk Hill.

Theft
A greenish/blue 12-foot aluminum jonboat was taken from Virgin Run Lake between 4 p.m. April 16 and 1 p.m. Saturday, state police at Belle Vernon said.
The owner is Terry Ewing, 34, of Vanderbilt. The boat has “Muddcat” painted on the side, police said.

Criminal mischief
Susan Jenkins of Evans Street reported to city police Monday that her garage door was destroyed earlier this year.
Jenkins said the door was destroyed in January and damaged in March. Nothing was taken from the garage, police said.

Smoke in a structure
The Uniontown Fire Department responded to a fire call at 48 Lincoln St. Apt. A to find a coffee can with smoldering material inside it at 9:27 p.m. Monday.
City police also responded.

Burglary
A glass door was broken at Kenzie’s Deli at 6 Charles St., Brownsville, sometime between 8:30 p.m., April 19 and 6:43 a.m. on April 20. The freezer door and meat counter were found open and cigarettes were found on the floor. An estimate of the damages was not available.

Bike stolen
Robert Lancaster of 100 High St., Apt. 608, told Brownsville police that his 26-inch, green, 21-speed Huffy mountain bike was taken sometime between April 22 and 23. The theft was reported on April 25. The bike is valued at $100. It has black electrical tape on the handlebars.

Simple assault
Brownsville police charged Kelly R. Hosler of 544 Middle St., West Brownsville, with simple assault, defiant trespassing and public drunkenness for an incident early Sunday at 400 Second St.
Hosler reportedly went to the home of Albert DeSalvo and refused to leave when asked. She allegedly broke a window at the house and bit DeSalvo in the chest, leaving a bruise and teeth marks. The incident occurred around 3:28 a.m.

Assault
A 17-year-old male from Hunters Ridge was charged as a juvenile with simple assault, defiant trespassing, harassment and disorderly conduct following an incident at South Hills Terrace Sunday at 1:28 a.m.

Man injured
Jason Dillon of 447 Union St. was injured Sunday when a tree on a neighboring property fell and struck him in the back and neck. The incident occurred around 6:41 p.m. Dillon was treated at Brownsville General Hospital.

Tire stolen
Reginald Foman of 121 Broad St., Brownsville, told police that a tire was taken from the back of his Isuzu. The theft was reported Sunday at 4 p.m. The tire was valued at $350.

Vehicle stolen
A 1989 Dodge Caravan owned by Standard Auto was reported stolen from its parking space at Sixth and Market was found a short while later along Route 40 West in West Brownsville with the keys still in the ignition. The vehicle had run out of gas.

Parole violation
Gary Brooks of 79 Frick St., Brownsville, was picked up by state officials for an alleged parole violation and remanded to jail to await a due process hearing.
According to the state Department of Probation and Parole, Brooks was sentenced in 1991 and 1992 for charges of theft and aggravated assault. He was paroled in August 2001 under a number of conditions, including a requirement to submit to drug testing, and prohibitions against being in possession of alcohol or in establishments that serve alcohol. He was also prohibited from having contact with persons who sell drugs. His parole period ends Feb. 12, 2016.

State police said a 1991 Ford reported stolen by Charles W. Crossland of Hopwood was found by a friend of Crossland’s at the Exxon service station, Connellsville Street, at 5:45 p.m. Monday.

Teen missing
Kimberly Wickline of New Salem told state police that her 15 year-old daughter, Stacy Wickline, left home at 7 a.m. Monday and hasn’t returned home. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call state police at (724) 439-7111.

Tools stolen
Marricco Construction Co. told state police that their Tomcat Hollow Road construction site was entered and several tools stolen between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.

Car damaged
Chad Younkin of Connellsville told state police that between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday, the door of his garage was damaged and the windows of his 1991 Ford Tempo were broken.
German Twp.
Accident reported
Fayette County 911 reported that a motorist left Route 21 and drove into the lot of Doc’s Auto Sales at 9:21 p.m. Tuesday. Emergency officials noted that the motorist refused treatment for injuries. McClellandtown firefighters and Fayette EMS assisted state police at the scene.
