Marietta M. (Milano) Rifenburg, 90, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, April 29, 2002, at 7:30 p.m. in Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown. She was born on Sunday, December 31, 1911, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., daughter of Anthony Milano and Fanny Fornera Milano.

Marietta was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, The Catholic Daughters of America, The Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association, and former vice president and life member of the Fayette County Retired Teachers Association.

She was a retired Elementary Teacher with 43 years service in the Albert Gallatin Area School District.

Marietta was also a volunteer at both St. John The Evangelist School and the Uniontown Hospital.

She was an avid card player and a member of several card clubs.

A sister, Julia Wroble, and her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Ronald R. Rifenburg and his wife, Bonnie, and a grandson, Kris Rifenburg, all of Uniontown, Pa.; and a sister, Elda Kennedy.

The Family will receive Friends in her school room at the West End School in Masontown where she taught for many years which is now the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and River avenues, Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 2, until 8:45 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as Celebrant.

Entombment will follow in Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, North Union Township, Pa.
