Alverta A. Campbell Myers, 77, of Fairchance, Pa., died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, in Beverly HealthCare, Uniontown, Pa. She was born August 13, 1924, in Fairchance, Pa., daughter of Azle Campbell and Florence Williams Campbell Appleby.

Alverta was a member of Fairchance Church of The Brethren and the Ladies Bible Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. “Buck” Myers Sr. on August 29, 1997, a son, Walter G. “Butch” Myers Jr. in 1989, a sister, Carole Campbell Wilson, a brother, Albert Campbell, and her parents.

Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Hughes and her husband, Cloyd, of Fairchance; six brothers: Wilbur “Bud” Campbell and his wife, Wanda, of Fairchance, John Campbell of Massachusetts, Woodrow Campbell and his wife, Dorothy, of New Salem, Pa., Harry Campbell and his wife, Nancy, of Fairchance, Larry Campbell and his wife, Dottie, of Fairchance, and Walter C. “Tim” Campbell and his wife, Patty, of Uniontown, Pa.; two grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Myers of Fairchance; a step-sister, Ida Mae Fisher of Fairchance; two step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, May 3, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Rory Ruder officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
