Charles W. Collins Sr., 90, of Wilmington, Del., died Sunday, April 28, 2002, in Foulk Manor, South Wilmington, Del. He was born Feb. 8, 1912, in Layton, Pa., a son of the late A.E. Collins and Rozella Wilkinson Collins.

Also preceding him in death were a brother, A. Edward Collins; and a sister, Audry D. Collins.

Surviving are his wife, Olive May Cox Collins; two sons, Charles W. Collins Jr., and his wife, Shirley of Maine, and Raymond Edwin Collins and his wife, Mildred of Wilmington Del.; a daughter, Beverly Ruth Waugh and her husband, Archie of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph L. Collins and his wife, Gertrude of Greensburg, Pa.

Mr. Collins was a former lineman and installer for the Bell Telephone Company, for 42 years, was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Uniontown, the Leland Bible Class, Fayette Lodge No. 228 F.&A.M., and the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., this morning from 10 to 11 a.m. A service will be held at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Normalville Cemetery, Normalville, Pa.
