Ann Aber Buck

Ann A. (Aber) Buck, 95, a resident since 1993 of Tallahassee, Florida, and a former longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died Friday, May 3, 2002, in Tallahassee. She was born July 3, 1906, in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter of Leonidas Aber and Katherine Kuhn Aber.

Ann was a retired Teacher from Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Pa.

In addition to teaching, she had also been the Assistant Admissions Director for Chatham College in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Ann graduated from Chatham College, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Her husband, John A. Buck, a grandson, Chip Buck, and her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Larry Buck and his wife, Ingrid, of Tallahassee, Florida; a grandson, Peyton E. Buck, and granddaughter-in-law, Stephanie B. O’Connor, both of Gaithersburg, Maryland; and cousins: Mary K. Robb and Margaret R. Richards both of Pittsburgh, Pa.

There will be no viewing and no services are planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society – Relay for Life in honor of John A. Buck and Chip Buck both cancer victims, 241 John Knox Road, Suite 100, Tallahassee FL 32303 or Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32308.

Arrangements are under direction of the BEVIS FUNERAL HOME, 2710 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida.
