Resort wins water award

2 min read

Seven Springs Water Authority has recently received the Best Tasting Water award from the Pennsylvania Rural Water Association. The award is given annually to a rural water system. More than 500 water management facilities are eligible to enter samples for judging.

The resort received the award at the Pennsylvania Rural Water Association Conference held in State College March 25 – 27.

Sarah Eutsey, water treatment department manager for Seven Springs Municipal Authority, accepted the award at the conference. Geary Smith, water treatment department supervisor, accompanied Eutsey.

“We are proud to receive this award for our drinking water at Seven Springs,” commented Eutsey.

“Our staff has worked diligently over the years to offer the best possible water service to the customers of the Seven Springs Municipal Authority and the guests of the resort. The quality and supply of water at the resort has always been something that past president, Herman Dupre, along with all of our management, have been proud. This award for the Best Tasting Water qualifies what we have believed for years,” Eutsey added.

Judging for the contest is conducted by all of the attendees of the three-day conference. This year’s conference had more than 900 in attendance.

Pennsylvania Rural Water Association’s membership consists of more than 500 water systems and other businesses related to the industry.

Seven Springs Mountain Resort is Pennsylvania’s largest ski and year-round resort. Located in Champion, information on Seven Springs is available at www.7springs.com or by calling 800-452-2223.
