Carol Smith and Rickey E. Nicholson, both of Morgantown, W. Va., will be married in a ceremony set for Aug. 12. The bride-elect is the daughter of Shirley Hixon of Butte, Mont., and the late Joseph Smith. She is a graduate of Connellsville High School and is employed as a secretary in Morgantown, W.Va.

Her fiance is the son of Robert Nicholson Sr. of Springfield Pike, Connellsville, and the late Theresa A. Nicholson.

He is a graduate of Connellsville Area High School and is employed as a janitor at Morgantown High School.
