Waynesburg Chiropractic center opens

Pennsylvania Chiropractic Center recently opened at 58 E. Greene St., Waynesburg. Featuring “low force’ chiropractic care, exercise rehabilitation, nutrition counseling, massage therapy and wellness care, the center can be reached at 724-852-4222 or its Web site at www.pennsylvaniachiropractic.topchiro.com. Dr. Jason Cozart and Dr. Tisha Chamenko, owners, are board certified and licensed to perform chiropractic and physiotherapy. Cozart, a graduate of Hundred High School, received his bachelors degree from Fairmont State College and his doctorate from Life University in Atlanta, Ga. Chamenko received her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and her doctorate from Life University. The center accepts most insurance and is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Business outreach set

In an effort to highlight and continue the phenomenal growth of women-owned businesses in Western Pennsylvania, the Women’s Economic Development Outreach (WEDO) organization plans a weeklong route encompassing 15 counties. For the first time in Pennsylvania, a group of women leaders, comprised of business owners, local, state and federal representatives, bank officials, economic development organizations and other women-focused organizations, will tour five districts between June 10-14, supplying information and resources to area women business owners.

Registration for each day begins at 8:30 a.m. with a complimentary power breakfast and runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Women business owners are encouraged to visit www.e-magnify.com for a complete schedule of events and to register online or contact one of the day coordinators for the program closest to their area.

Reservations for all WEDO programs are free and limited to 100 participants. Calls must be received by June 3.

The schedule will be as follows:

June 10 – Westmoreland and Fayette counties. Seton Hill College’s National Education Center for Women in Business. Call 724-830-4625.

The tour officially kicks off in Westmoreland County and continues through the I-79 Interstate corridor, offering participants an in-depth look at business financing, access to capital, information on certification on the state and federal level as well as private certification, and developing entrepreneurial networks. There will also be an opportunity to compete in the state WBE certification application .

National City is the exclusive lead sponsor of the 2002 WEDO tour. Additional sponsors include the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, U.S. Small Business Administration, the Women’s Business Network and Seton Hill College’s National Education Center for Women in Business.
