William J. Krzton

William J. Krzton, 87, a resident since 1950 of Churchill Borough, Pittsburgh, Pa., died Friday morning, May 3, 2002, in Manor Care of Monroeville, Pa. He was born January 30, 1915, in Shoaf, Fayette County, Pa., son of Joseph F. Krzton and Stefania Ksiazek Krzton.

William was an Attorney with the law firm of Krzton & Krzton in Tarentum, Pa., since 1956 and he was presently serving “Of Counsel”.

He was a retired Colonel in the United States Army who served in Europe during World War II. He was awarded the United States Army Bronze Star.

He was a member of the Reserve Officers Association and also the Military Order of the World Wars, a Charter Member of The World War II Memorial Society and the University of Pittsburgh Golden Panthers.

He graduated from the former Georges Township High School, the University of Pittsburgh School of Education, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Four brothers and his parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loma Wheeler Krzton; a son, William T. Krzton and his wife, Nancy, and two granddaughters, Alicia L. Krzton and Amelia A. Krzton, all of Natrona Heights, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were private.

The family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, 3900 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15260.

Arrangements were by the THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Blawnox, Pa.
