Helen Mihalko Adamik of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday morning, May 4, 2002, in the Uniontown Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born March 22, 1917, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Joseph Mihalko and Catherine Cebula Mihalko.

Helen was a member of St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Uniontown.

She was a Certified Cosmetologist and Hairdresser.

Helen was also a member of Uniontown V.F.W. Post 47 Ladies Auxiliary where she formerly held the office of President, the Eagles, Women of the Moose No. 228 where she had been a Regent, The Catholic War Veterans where she had served as President, American Legion Post 51, the Degree of Honor where she had held the office of President, General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 Women’s Auxiliary in Hopwood, Pa., and Fayette County Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Circle Club of Uniontown.

Her loving husband, John Adamik, a sister, Kathryn Fedor, brothers, Matt, Michael, Daniel and John, and her parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are her loving children: a daughter, Elaine and her husband, Ralph Swaney, of Chalk Hill, Pa.; a son, John C. Adamik and his wife, Darlene, of Uniontown, Pa.; grandchildren: Lisa Maurer, Lucas Dorazio, Michael Swaney, Michelle Uphold, and Thomas Adamik; great grandchildren: Ryan, Chris, Greg, Katlyn, Noah, and Brock; a sister, Dolores Roll and her husband, Stephen, of Medina, Ohio; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Mihalko and Doris Mihalko; a brother-in-law, John Fedor; and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday until 10 a.m., when a blessing service will be held.

Divine Liturgy follows at 10:30 a.m., in St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, East Main Street, Uniontown.

Interment will follow in St. John Byzantine Church Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.

AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services today at 7 p.m. Parastas will be held, in the funeral home, today at 7:30 p.m. The American Legion Post 51 Ladies Auxiliary held services on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
