Jeffrey S. Sholtis, 34, of Mather told state police that his 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was hit with an egg, causing damage to the driver’s side door, Monday between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m., at a Second Street residence.

State police said the door handle of James Hughes’ 1998 Chevrolet truck was broken between Tuesday evening and Wednesday at 7 a.m. along Route 21.

DUI reported
A 36-year-old California man could face driving under the influence charges after he was “stopped by a couple of concerned citizens” for driving erratically on Route 188 around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, said state police at Waynesburg.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the man’s driving to call the Waynesburg station at 724-627-6151.

State police at Waynesburg said a mechanical wild game feeder was stolen from a field behind the Greensboro home of William Sebek between April 28 and Wednesday.

Gene Cappellini, 55, of Clarksville told state police that his Browning 12-gauge shotgun, in its gray gun case, fell out of the bed of his pickup truck along Interstate 79 around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Charges pending
DUI charges are pending against a 40-year-old Washington man stopped for a traffic violation Monday along Interstate 79, said state police at Waynesburg.
Charges also are pending against a 20-year-old Clarksville woman who reportedly hit a parked car owned by Michelle King at the intersection of Route 21 and a rural route April 28.

State police cited a 17-year-old boy who allegedly harassed a 17-year-old girl at the Greene County Vocational-Technical School around noon Friday. Police released no further details.

Suspicious call reported
A 64-year-old Greene County woman told state police at Waynesburg that a female caller told her she won $2.5 million in foreign currency, but needed to send money first. Police believe the call was a scam.
The caller identified herself as being affiliated with the International Australian Sweepstakes, said police. The elderly woman was first asked to send $569 in fees via Western Union. A second call reportedly indicated that the caller wanted more than $2,000 to pay legal transactions and attorney fees.
Police are asking that anyone who receives a similar call to contact the barracks at 724-627-6151.

Edward Riggin, 37, of Main Street told police that someone entered his garage by breaking a side window and removed a 2002 Yamaha Raptor all-terrain vehicle between 3:30 and 6:45 a.m. Monday.

Hit-and-run probed
Charges are pending against a 31-year-old Uniontown woman after she allegedly struck a vehicle driven by Christine Ruby, 25, of Fairchance at Restaurant Row and Route 40, at midnight Friday, according to state police. Moranda Habray, 27, of Smithfield was a passenger in Ruby’s vehicle. Police said no one was injured.

State police said an 18-year-old Mount Pleasant man attacked a known boy at 106 Green Meadow Lane until the boy became unconscious at 12:15 a.m. Saturday. The boy was treated at Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant.

Burglar arrested
State police at Greensburg said Steven B. Radford, 19, of Acme was arrested for allegedly breaking into a lingerie store along Route 31 owned by Nora D. Kalp, 67, of Jones Mills at 2:15 p.m. Friday. Police said the man also admitted to a previous burglary at the same location on Sept. 22, 2001.

State police at Greensburg said an unknown vehicle struck an opened driver’s door on a vehicle owned by Cynthia Lynn Bingham, 36, of Youngwood while she was parked along Stone Church Road at 11:25 p.m. April 17. Police reported no injuries to Bingham or her two passengers.
