Company plans job fair to recruit employees
McKnight Cylinder, a full-service propane cylinder refurbisher, located outside New Stanton near the Fayette-Westmoreland county border, will host a job fair on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its facility in Ruffsdale. Due to a growing market for propane cylinder refurbishing and a significant increase in business, McKnight Cylinder is currently hiring an additional 31 assemblers to work in the Ruffsdale facility. There are three shifts at the facility and on-the-job training is available. The company currently employs 83 people.

In our administration department, the goal is simple – support our people on the shop floor and service our customers in a way that makes doing business with McKnight Cylinder easy and enjoyable. As an extension of its commitment to employees, McKnight Cylinder is also increasing compensation. Assemblers’ pay will start at $8.60 per hour and will increase to $9.05 – $10.35 after 120 workdays.
