2 min read

McKnight Cylinder, a full-service propane cylinder refurbisher, located outside New Stanton near the Fayette-Westmoreland county border, will host a job fair on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its facility in Ruffsdale. Due to a growing market for propane cylinder refurbishing and a significant increase in business, McKnight Cylinder is currently hiring an additional 31 assemblers to work in the Ruffsdale facility. There are three shifts at the facility and on-the-job training is available. The company currently employs 83 people.

“At McKnight Cylinder, our people are our most important asset,” Len Caric, president, said. “On the shop floor, safety is a primary concern and we invest heavily on both operation training and safety training. In our administration department, the goal is simple – support our people on the shop floor and service our customers in a way that makes doing business with McKnight Cylinder easy and enjoyable. In the end, our motto is Safety Protects People and Quality Protects Jobs.”

As an extension of its commitment to employees, McKnight Cylinder is also increasing compensation. Assemblers’ pay will start at $8.60 per hour and will increase to $9.05 – $10.35 after 120 workdays. At the job fair, candidates can talk to company personnel, tour the plant and submit an application. For more information or directions, call 724-722-1014.
