One-vehicle accident
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of East Main Street and Gallatin Avenue at 7:23 p.m. Sunday, city police said. A vehicle driven by Jennifer Tresatti, 34, of Craig Street, Uniontown, struck a telephone pole. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed.

Burglary
Mary Saluga of East Fayette Street reported to city police at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday that a lawn mower and weed trimmer were taken from her shed after it was broken into between 10:45 p.m. and 1:15 a.m. The latch on the shed was damaged.

DUI arrest
Billie Jo Wilson, 20, of 124 Farmview Drive, Uniontown, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of Wayne Street and Cleveland Avenue at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, city police said.

Theft
Jodi Burkett reported to city police at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday that her wallet and lighter were taken while she was in Darby’s Pub on Morgantown Street.

Harassment reported
State police from Belle Vernon filed charges of harassment against Bruce Twigg, 35, of 2697 Pittsburgh Road at District Justice Michael Defino’s office. The charge was filed after Laurie Twigg, 30, same address, contacted police at 12:45 a.m. Monday and reported that she was being harassed.

Drunk driving arrest
State police from Washington arrested Angelo Michael Zaccone, 52, of 534 Daniels Run Road, Scenery Hill, for driving under the influence of alcohol after committing several traffic violations in a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer at 3:26 a.m. Saturday.
A blood test determined his blood alcohol content was .168 percent. He was arrested along Route 519, about a quarter mile south of Route 40.

Drunk driving suspected
State police from Belle Vernon said driving under the influence charges against a man who was pulled over Sunday at 2:10 a.m. at Union and Second streets in California are pending blood test results. Police said the man attempted to flee from the scene, but was captured.

Tailgate taken
Russell Christner, 44, of Everson reported on Monday at 3 p.m. that someone stole the tailgate from his 1998 Dodge Ram truck, which was parked along Graff Street, according to state police in Belle Vernon.

Public drunkeness
State police from Belle Vernon cited Laura Lee Heckman, 45, of Perryopolis for public drunkenness following a Monday night incident in the Honey Bear parking lot along Route 51 in Star Junction.
West Finely Township
Drunk driving accident
State police from Washington said Douglas Hester, 33, of Valley Grove, W.Va., was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following an accident in which he allegedly struck another vehicle head on.
Police said Hester crossed into the left side of Ackely Creek Road at 12:26 a.m. Sunday and struck William Walter Nimpher, 52, of 55 Purman Run Road, Waynesburg. Nimpher was transported to Waynesburg Hospital for moderate injuries and Hester was not injured.
Hester, whose blood alcohol content was .209 percent, was arraigned and placed in the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bond. He was also wanted on a bench warrant from Fayette County.

Drugs stolen
Health Center Pharmacy Inc., National Pike, Farmington, told state police that at 4:35 a.m. Sunday the store was entered and several bottles of assorted drugs were removed.

Vehicle found
State police reported that a red 1990 Eagle Talon, reported stolen from the Monroeville Mall by Fred Berger of Squirrel Hill, was found on a dirt path off County Line Road at 6:32 p.m. Monday.

Truck scratched
Michael J. Patek, 33, of Dunbar told state police that between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 a.m. Saturday, his 2000 Chevrolet truck was scratched with an unknown object in the Oliver Plaza parking lot.

Hit-and-run probed
Tana Bassin of Uniontown told police that she was struck from behind by a hit-and-run driver when she was stopped on Route 40 near the Lane-Bane Bridge at 12:21 p.m. Monday.

Man charged
State police said James E. Most Jr., 24, of Everson was charged with harassment after allegedly assaulting Heather L. Derousse, 26, of Mount Pleasant at the Polish American Club at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Man charged
Bruce Twigg, 35, of Perryopolis was charged with harassment after an incident involving Laurie Twigg, 30, in their Pittsburgh Road home at 12:24 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Man accused
Laura Heckman, 45, of Perryopolis told state police that at 8 p.m. Monday at Tonette’s Bar on Old Route 51, a Perryopolis man violated a protection from abuse order she filed against him.

Tailgate stolen
Russell Christner, 44, of Everson told state police that the tailgate from his 1998 Dodge Ram was stolen Monday.

Woman charged
Laura Lee Helkman, 45, of Perryopolis was charged with public drunkenness after she was found in the Honey Bear parking lot on Route 51 at 9:05 p.m. Monday.

Charges pending
State police reported that two teen-age boys are facing charges after they fought near the intersection of Cochran and Howell streets at 7:15 p.m. May 1.
Beallsville
Man charged
State police said Scott Seman of Beallsville was charged with simple assault and for outstanding warrants out of Washington County Adult Probation after he allegedly choked and struck Catherine Beadling of Beallsville and for allegedly shoving Travis Smith when he attempted to help Beadling at 9:05 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Seman was remanded to the Washington County Jail after failing to post $10,000 straight cash bond.
Fayette City
Charges pending
State police said charges are pending against a 21-year-old Fayette City woman after she allegedly punched, shoved and pulled the hair of Laurie E. Clark, 19, of Pittsburgh outside a residence at California and Connellsville streets at 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

No one injured
No injuries were reported to police when vehicles operated by Melissa S. Galante, 21, of Fayette City and Robert J. Bovard, 37, of West Newton collided on an entrance ramp of Interstate 70 westbound at 6:10 p.m. Sunday.
