H. E. “Jack” Tennant

H.E. “Jack” Tennant, age 73 of Louisville, Ky., died Monday. Formerly of Uniontown, Pa., he was a member of the Sportman’s Supper Club, on the Board of Directors of the Bonnycastle Club, a writer for the Sports Report and served on the UofL Associates Retired Personnel Board (ULARP). Mr. Tennant was retired after 21 years from the UofL Athletic Department as Assistant Athletic Director, and was a veteran of the Korean war.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Virginia Morgan Tennant; a son, Jeff Tennant and his wife, Kim; two daughters, Debbie Heinrich and her husband Ron and Donna Pestinger and her husband Greg; and three grandchildren; Josh Heinrich, Jaclyn Heinrich and Cooper Tennant.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., on Thursday, in the PEARSON-RATTERMAN BROS. FUNERAL HOME, 12900 Shelbyville Rd., with interment in the Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday and will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., today.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Cardinal Athletic Fund of UofL, in memory of Jack Tennant.
