James E. Wilson
James E. Wilson, 75, of Thompson No. 1, Pa., passed away Saturday, May 4, 2002, in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was born August 26, 1926, in Millsboro, Washington, Pa., a son of the late Samuel Rogers Wilson and Jennie Garner Wilson.
James was retired from the Internal Revenue Collections Department.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of Uniontown V.FW. Post 47, where he served as Treasurer, the V.F.W. Post 47 Band, the Uniontown Musical Society, Uniontown American Legion Post 51, the National Treasury Employees Union, and Uniontown SCORE.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife of nine years, Ruby Holliday Wilson; children, Stephen Wilson and his wife, Carol of Hershey, Pa., Marilyn Amrick and her husband, Ken of Belle Vernon, Pa., Susan Anderson and her husband, Robert of Connecticut, Michael Wilson and his wife, Kristy of Carmichaels, Pa., and Jennifer Wilson of McClellandtown, Pa.; six grandchildren, Michele, Lisa, Sven, Luke, Madison and Kaleb; two stepsons, Michael Mucy of Thompson No. 1, Pa., and Joseph (Jay) Mucy and his wife, Teri of Moore, Okla.; a stepgrandson, Nicholas of Oklahoma; a sister, Marge Haley and her husband, Merle of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends were received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, on Tuesday, May 7, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where Funeral Services will be held today at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Rebecca Hickok officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
