PENN STATE ON-LINE SEARIGHRTS ROCC LEARNING CENTER is participating again in the food pantry. Consumers may pick up food boxes on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for this month only. The food panty is open the third Wednesday of each month, starting in June. FORMER BELL OPERATORS will meet for lunch at the Italian Oven.
FLENNIKEN PUBLIC LIBRARY, Carmichaels, is holding a story hour from 10:30 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays for children aged 3 to 5. Gloria Gugliotta, professional storyteller, will be guest the second Tuesday of each month. National City Bank volunteers will tell stories and does crafts with the children. Toddler time, 1 1/2 to 3 years of age, is held Fridays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Snack will be provided.
AMVETS LADIES AUXILIARY POST 103 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Election of officers will be held. The covered-dish dinner for that night as been canceled until the June meeting.
MARY BETH CIRCLE of the Asbury United Methodist Church will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Guest speaker will be Attorney Sheryl Heid who will speak on “Family Relationships – Fighting Fair.’
RIDGEVIEW GRANGE will meet at 6 p.m. Monday. Members with 50 years’ membership will be honored.
CATHOLIC WAR VETERANS AUXILIARY POST 1669 will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the post home. A covered dish dinner will welcome new members who will be inducted. A memorial service for deceased members will be held. Fund raising tickets will be distributed.
SILVER THREADS will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the McClellandtown Fire Hall. New members are welcome.
GREAT MEADOWS GARDEN CLUB will hold its annual plant sale from 8a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Braddock’s Inn, Route 40, Farmington, during National Pike Days. Available will be 80 to 100 different mountain-grown varieties. Prices will range from $1 to $4.
UNITED WAR VETERANS ASSOCIATION will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Uniontown VFW Post 47, West Main St. ‘The Fleet Reserve Association will host the meeting.
MONDAY NIGHTERS GROUP OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS (AA) meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Connellsville Armory, 108 Washington Ave. For more information, call 724-628-7952.
