Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Ferek of New Salem announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Ann Ferek of York, to Shawn Sisler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis V. Sisler of Friendsville, Md. The bride-elect is a 1989 graduate of Uniontown Area High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering in 1993 and a master of business administration in 1999 from the Pennsylvania State University. She is employed as an application development engineer with DSM Engineering Plastics.

Mr. Sisler is a 1900 graduate of Northern Garrett High School. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from the University of Maryland. He is employed by AT&T in Columbia, Md. and is an officer in the United States Naval Reserves.

A May 25 wedding is planned.
