Suit filed Robert L. and Rhonda K. Turner of Greensboro R.D. 1 are seeking a Fayette County civil court judgment in excess of the $25,000 arbitration limit on each of four counts alleged against Gregory Scott Wilson of Smithfield, regarding an automobile accident May 13, 2000 in Springhill Township.
Restaurant owner sued
Lori Malek of Vanderbilt is seeking damages not to exceed $30,000, plus interest and costs, in a civil suit against Chang Lin of Uniontown and his businesses Hong Kong Buffett and Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant.
In the suit filed in Fayette County Court, Malek alleges that she suffered injuries after slipping on a wet floor on her way to the restroom on May 28, 2001.
Man sues mother
Robert Thomas Palmer Jr. of Uniontown R.D. 2 is suing his mother Kathryn L. Palmer, driver Jamie M. Show and Show Construction Inc., and PennDOT related to injuries he received in two-vehicle accident May 10, 1997 at the intersection of SR 3027 and TR 628 in South Union Township.
According to a civil suit filed in Fayette County Court, Kathryn Palmer was the driver of a car in which Robert Palmer was a passenger. The suit alleges that the Palmer vehicle was struck by a company truck operated by Show and that PennDOT was negligent. It seeks damages in excess of $25,000 on three separate counts.
Couple sued
Beverly A. and Frank G. Ucman Sr. of Dawson are suing Henry T. and Dorothy Cochran of Dawson for defamation and libel, seeking damages in excess of $30,000 plus interests and costs.
A civil suit filed in Fayette County Court alleges that the Cochrans published and disseminated a written communication in the form of a letter to the Ucmans and to numerous third parties, indicating that the Ucmans are criminal trespassers, thieves, vandals and poachers.
