Mary Nehela Olsavsky
Mary E. Nehela Olsavsky, 93, of Filbert, Pa., passed away Sunday, May 12, 2002, in Brownsville General Hospital. She was born March 14, 1909, in Austria-Hungary, daughter of John Nehela and Susan Mijok Nehela.
Mary was a member of St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem.
Her husband, Paul Olsavsky, a daughter, Josephine Olsavsky, a brother, John Nehela, a sister, Anna Dunn, and parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons: Paul Olsavsky of Hummelstown, Pa., and Wm. Jake Olsavsky and his wife, Jade, of St. Clairsville, Ohio; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Nehela of Filbert; and a sister, Sophia Patska of Palmer, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Wednesday, May 15, at 10 a.m. in Saint Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, with Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 7:30 p.m.
