Meeting scheduled Freedom Run set
Rolling Thunder Inc. Chapter 5 Pennsylvania will stage its second annual Freedom Run on Saturday.
The run will begin at the Laurel Mall parking lot at 11 a.m. and end at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the corner of Buttermilk Lane and Walnut Street in Hopwood to mark the closing of the group’s 24-hour vigil.
The run will be led, once again, by Fayette County Sheriff Gary Brownfield and representatives from the Uniontown City and Pennsylvania State Police. Guests are invited to stay for the closing ceremonies with Rolling Thunder and Vietnam Veterans Inc. members in remembrance of area POW/MIA’s and their families.
The run is open to everyone, motorcycles and cars alike. Those participating should arrive at the mall parking area at 10 a.m. to organize.
