Kristin Karen Mitchell of Newtown, Indiana and Christopher Michael Beddick of Uniontown were united in marriage on March 16, 2002 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lafayette. The bride is the daughter of Barbara Johnson of Hillsboro, Ind., and Jack Mitchell of Attica, Ind.

The matron of honor was Sonja Rice Powers. Bridesmaids were Missy Mitchell, sister-in-law; Darcy Smith, cousin. Brittany Mitchell, a niece, served as junior bridesmaid.

Kristin is a 1988 graduate of Fountain Central High School and a 1992 graduate of Indiana State University. She is a field compliance coordinator with State Farm Insurance.

The bridegroom is the son of Jennifer and Jim Stafford of Uniontown and the late Bill Beddick.

The best man was Eric Copenhaver, uncle of the groom. Groomsmen were Rob Semsey and John Payerchin. John Edward Payerchin, godson, served as junior groomsman.

Chris is a 1991 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 1996 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania. He is an agent with State Farm Insurance.

The couple resides in Latrobe.
