Isabel Boskovitch
uniontown Isabel (Urban) Boskovitch, 80, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away in Uniontown Hospital on Thursday, May 16, 2002.
She was born Oct. 15, 1921, in Edenborn, Pa., the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Vaclavik) Urban.
Isabel was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Uniontown.
She was a giving person and her children and grandchildren always came first. She was hardworking, enjoyed her housework and cooking, and was always concerned for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Boskovitch in 1990,a son-in-law, Sylvester Tobay in 1984, and a sister, Eleanor Voytek.
Isabel is survived by her son, Nelson J. Boskovitch and wife, Jane of Hopwood, Pa.; her three daughters, Theresa “Terri” Tobay of Dunbar, Pa., Kathleen Ann Fike and husband, Don of King George, Va., and Jacqueline “Jackie” Duda and husband, Joseph of Frederick, Md.; 13 grandchildren, Brad, Brian, Jonathan and Jeremy Boskovitch, Jason and Erica Tobay, Mark, Christopher and Patrick Fike and Nicole, Joey, Elise and Alexis Duda; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Dorothy Muhar and husband, Henry and Irene Krupinsky and husband, Mike, both of Greensboro, Pa., Marge Masucci of Chicago, Ill., Florence Adamovich of Uniontown, and Ethel Beveridge and husband, Harry of Lakewood, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; her good friend, Helen Galida of Bitner, Pa.; and her beautician and friend, Lucille Nixon.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 607 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and until 10:30 a.m., on Monday, May 20, followed by a service at 11 a.m., in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Uniontown, with the Rev. Bernard Carl officiating.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Memories Mausoleum, Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Project 2000 Building Fund at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 121 Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, PA 15401.
