Uniontown Manager named

Tractor Supply Co. has named Randy Raymond as manager of its new Uniontown store.

Renovations are nearing completion at the Tractor Supply Co. store in Uniontown, and the opening is tentatively scheduled for May 20, according to Stan Ruta, TSC’s senior vice president of store operations.

Renovations began on the former Quality facility, located at 900 Morgantown Rd., after the existing inventory was liquidated. Renovations included repainting the store front, adding to the side lot presentation area, re-stripping the parking lot, installing Tractor Supply signs, building interior fixture walls, repainting the interior, cleaning and repairing the flooring, and adding more lighting.

Raymond joined Tractor Supply after serving as manager of the Uniontown Quality Farm and Fleet Store for almost a year.

“We look forward serving the customers in the Uniontown area with our everyday low prices, great products and legendary customer service,” Raymond said.

Tractor Supply Company, listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange as TSCO, operates over 400 stores in 30 states and is focused on supplying products for the lifestyle needs of hobby and part-time farmers and ranchers. Somerset

Web site launched

James A. Redding Company, manufacturers of automated sampling systems, announced the launch of their new Web site, wwwjamesaredding.com. The site features an in-depth look at the products and services the company offers, photos, a history of the firm, client list, and an overview of the science of sampling.

James A. Redding, founded in 1959, specializes in designing, building, and installing 2 and 3-stage coal and bulk material sampling systems, including the Nine-Iron Swing Sampler. They also manufacture platform, stationary, and portable auger systems, where samples can be easily obtained from trucks, railcars, or barges.

The company was recently acquired by Lincoln Contracting & Equipment Co., Boswell, a subsidiary of Riggs Industries. James A. Redding moved to Somerset in February, and in addition to the administrative offices, they also have a 70,000 square foot manufacturing plant where all of the sampling systems and components are built.

Gans

Utility makes donation

Allegheny Energy Supply, a subsidiary of Allegheny Energy Inc. recently donated $45,000 to the Appalachian Community Center near Gans in southern Fayette County to be used for the purchase and installation of new lighting for the center’s softball field.

Additionally, the company made a donation to the 25th Annual Crystal Community Days Picnic, a homecoming event for the residents of Gans to be held on Aug. 4.

“Allegheny Energy Supply is dedicated to being a good corporate citizen and a valued member of the communities where we have generating facilities,” said David C. Benson, vice president, Production & Sales for Allegheny Energy Supply. “We have had an excellent working relationship with the residents of Springhill Township and the community of Gans, and we are pleased to make these donations for projects that are important to the residents.”

In 2001, the Company contributed $25,000 for the installation of playground equipment at the Appalachian Community Center, plus provided a donation for the annual Crystal Community Days picnic.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Allegheny Energy Supply on improvement projects for our community,” said Jim Dillow, director of the Appalachian Community Center. “Allegheny has been very supportive of our community, and we are appreciative of all its efforts to be a good neighbor.”

Allegheny Energy Supply operates two 44-megawatt, natural gas-fired combustion turbines in Springhill Township near Gans. The generating facility was placed in service in November 2000.
