The education council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Tim Kelly from Masontown, and a junior at Albert Gallatin High School, as student of the month for April. The son of Mike and Kris Kelly, he is undecided which post-secondary school he would like to attend. His major will be in computer science. Kelly’s career goal is to work as an Internet programmer.

This junior’s work experiences have been with the family business of Kelly Auto Supply and as a member of the local band, “Face in the Crowd.” He has also designed a couple of Web sites including fcrocks.com. Kelly is the junior class president.

Tim is a member of various clubs, including the Academic League, and has played a part in the school’s mock trial competition. He is an active member of Jacob’s Lutheran Church. Kelly has earned several honors and awards, including the Penn State Honors Program.

Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and citizenship, students of the month are given the opportunity for work-site learning experiences with chamber-member businesses.
