Theft reported

Terry Lynn Williams, 43, of New Salem reported the theft of a 1,200-watt Craftsman twin-head halogen work light and a grass catcher for an ET 3000 Craftsman lawn mower from his residence between 3 a.m. and 11:15 p.m. Saturday, state police in Uniontown said.

PFA violated

State police in Uniontown said Todd Michael Graft, 36, of Dawson was arrested for violating a protection-from-abuse order after he allegedly had two people contact Kimberly Ann Steamates-Graft, 34, of Dunbar on his behalf.

Drunk-driving wreck

State police in Uniontown arrested Gregory D. Moore Jr., 20, of Uniontown for driving under the influence, aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and underage purchase, consumption or possession of liquor. The charges were filed at District Justice Deberah Kula’s office.

Moore allegedly passed a marked patrol car in a no-passing zone on eastbound Route 40 Thursday at 2:15 a.m. He then swerved in front of the patrol car and attempted to turn onto Duck Hollow Road, but hit a utility pole at the intersection, police said.

Moore was arrested and then taken to Uniontown Hospital, where he refused a blood-alcohol test, allegedly struggled with state troopers and used loud, obscene language, despite numerous warnings, police said. He allegedly shoved a trooper at the barracks and repeatedly attempted to break free from escorting troopers. Moore was committed to the Fayette County Prison for a probation violation.

State police in Uniontown said somebody threw a rock through a window of Dolores Horne’s home along Route 40 east in Hopwood at 2 a.m. Monday.

Utility pole struck

State police in Belle Vernon said someone driving a brown Buick Regal hit a utility pole and caused it to fall on to Mount Pleasant Road on Monday. Anybody with information relative to the driver should contact the barracks at 724-929-6262.

Drunk-driving charged

State police in Washington arrested William Whipkey, 32, of Waynesburg for driving under the influence after he was seen driving a truck with a person in the bed in the Pickle’s Bar area along Sheffield Street at 2:15 a.m. May 3. Police said he failed a field sobriety test. Police also filed a public-intoxication citation against Thomas Daniel Myers, 26, of Washington after he allegedly admitted to jumping into back of the truck.

City police cited Brad Lawrence with harassment for allegedly punching Tabetha Jean Handlin in her face at her Wine Street home Friday at 2:49 p.m.

City police responded to Keith Bowden’s East Main Street home, where two phone lines outside of his house were cut at 9:05 p.m. Saturday.

Hit-and-run reported

City police said somebody hit the right front door and mirror of Sherise Collins’ car, which was parked at her Farragut Street residence. She reported the damage Sunday afternoon.

License plate stolen

Pennsylvania license plate OB56814 was reported stolen in Evergreen Terrace on Sunday morning from a 1989 Ford van owned by the Harbor Light Bible Baptist Church, according to city police.

Driver cited

City police said Daniel Edwin Wade, 21, of Market Street, Carmichaels, was cited for a stop sign violation following a Friday morning accident at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Jefferson Street that also involved Donna J. Settles of Lincoln Street. Wade was driving an ambulance owned by American Ambulance of Uniontown.

Assault investigated

City police said they responded to a report a woman was being assaulted by two men Monday at 3 a.m. in the 200-300 block of Connellsville Street.

The woman gave police two different versions of the incidents that led to the assault.

In both versions, she said she went to a Collins Avenue apartment to buy marijuana. She ended up with what police determined to be fake crack cocaine. She also told police that the two men also robbed her of $50.

Terry Miller, 58, of Perryopolis told state police someone took items from his boat sometime between April 3 and Wednesday.

Hit-and-run incident

State police said an unknown driver struck a vehicle being driven by Sandra Fazenbaker, 44, of Uniontown in the Wal-Mart parking lot Sunday at 10:35 p.m. Police said after Fazenbaker’s vehicle was hit, it then struck a vehicle being driven by Bobbi L. Antil, 24, of Greensboro. Both Antil and Fazenbaker were injured in the accident, with Fazenbaker treated at Uniontown Hospital for back and facial injuries, police said.

Assault

State police said Matthew Stephen Angelo, 21, was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and recklessly endangering another person after an altercation with Tiffany Lee Moore, 18, of Masontown Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Angelo’s residence. Moore was cited for harassment after the incident, police said.

Two-vehicle accident

State police said Vincent J. Thompson of Adah and Bradley C. Davis, also of Adah, were involved in an accident May 9 at 6:05 a.m. along Route 166. Police said neither driver was injured.

Teen charged

State police said a 16-year-old male drove his car recklessly and caused the tires of his vehicle to spin and smoke Sunday at 12:05 p.m. along Brushwood Road. Charges of disorderly conduct and expired inspection were filed against the juvenile at the office of District Justice Deberah Kula, police said.

State police said a boys’ bicycle was found at the Dairy Mart along Dixon Boulevard Monday at 9:15 a.m.

State police said Richard Walker, 19, of Penn was not hurt when he struck a guardrail along Route 40 during a hail storm at 6:18 p.m. Saturday.
