Pauline Tobal Gismondi, 79, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2002, in the Allgeheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born in Haydentown, Pa., and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, many brothers and sisters and her husband Michael Gismondi.

Pauline was a member of St. Therese De Lieuseux Roman Catholic Church and St. Therese Altar Society. She had been employed with the Uniontown Hospital in the Physical Therapy Department for over 20 years. Her family and friends affectionately knew her as “Aunt Buddy.”

Surviving are three sons; Michael Gismondi of Philadelphia, Pa., Donald Gismondi of Chicago, Il; and Mark Gismondi of Uniontown, Pa.; two grandchildren, Alison Gismondi of Chicago, Il. And Andrew Gismondi of Philadelphia, Pa.

Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., a Dignity Memorial Provider, 139 W. Fayette St., Uniontown, Pa. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, May 23, 2002 until 9 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Therese R.C. Church, 61 Mill St., Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Fr. Kenneth G. Zaccagnini as Celebrant.

St. Therese Altar Society will recite the Rosary on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
