The education council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Mallory Ann Rhodes from Point Marion, a junior at Albert Gallatin High School, as student of the month for April. The daughter of Theresa and Robert Rhodes Jr., she is planning to attend West Virginia University or the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Her major will be in psychology. Rhodes’ career goal is to be a FBI behavioral profiler.
This junior’s work experiences have been as a clerical worker in an optometrist’s office.
Rhodes is a member of various clubs, including Interact. She is an active member of the band’s silk squad and is involved with the Puppeteering Team. Rhodes has earned several honors and awards, including All-American Scholar-East Division.
Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and citizenship, students of the month are given the opportunity for work-site learning experiences with chamber-member businesses.
