The Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club named Ranelle Oros of Carmichaels as girl of the month for April. The daughter of Frank and Raelene Oros, she is a member of the senior high National Honor Society, SADD, Spanish club, art club and yearbook staff and also lettered four years as a varsity cheerleader.

She was inducted into the 2001-2002 National Honor Roll, won the United States Cheerleader Achievement Award, volunteered for the American Red Cross blood drive, and was a day camp counselor for Greene County Parks and Recreation.

Oros plans to attend Waynesburg College, where she was awarded the Presidential Honor Scholarship, and will major in psychology.
