George Thomas, 75, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. He was a retired coal miner from Humphrey No. 7 Mine at Mount Morris, Pa., and he was a veteran World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Marie Hanko Thomas, whom he married on Dec. 28, 1955; three children, Ronald L. Hanko of Streetsboro, Ohio, Georgia Stiles of Crucible, Pa., and Staff Sgt. Stephen Thomas of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

There will be no services at the requests of Mr. Thomas. The Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., of Carmichaels, Pa., handled the arrangements.
