Mary J. Torok
Mary Jacqueline Torok, 87, of Vermilion, Ohio, a former resident of Carmichaels, Pa., died Thursday, May 23, 2002, in Kingston of Vermilion. She was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Royal, Pa.
She worked as a Pennsylvania State Inspector for cosmetologists, barber shops and pharmacies. She was a member of St. Hugh Catholic Church of Carmichaels, Pa., where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include a son, John G. Torok of Avon Lake, Ohio; a daughter, Rosemary Philips of LeHigh, Fla.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Catherine Swinchock of Waynesburg, Pa., and Agnes Toth of Carmichaels, Pa.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Torok Jr., in 1959; parents, George and Anna (Gergel) Cormack; sisters, Margaret Kikta, Anne Burvan, Pauline Savanick and Helen Dorricott; and brothers, John, Edward, George and Frank Cormack.
Friends may call today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the PAUL M. LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Ave., Carmichaels, Pa., and on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., when a prayer service will be held, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at noon, at St. Hugh Catholic Church, Route 88, Carmichaels, Pa. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Crucible, Pa. Rosary recitation at 7 p.m., this evening.
