THE HERALD-STANDARD will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Third Presbyterian Church, Union Street, Uniontown. Proceeds will benefit the newspaper’s team in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Take-out orders will be available. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS of the Laurel Region will sponsor a performance of The Hubcaps at 8 p.m. on June 15 at the State Theatre, 27 E. Main St., Uniontown. Tickets are $17.50 and $22.50.

UNIONTOWN SENIOR CITIZENS MONTHLY DANCE, Memorial Day dances, “Moments to Remember and Salute to our Veterans will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday at the Uniontown VFW Post 47, West Main Street. Bill Francis Orchestra will provide music. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded. The Senior Games Fayette District Dance competition will be held during the senior dance intermission, 8:30 to 9 p.m. Competition will feature Swing and Fox Trot. NEARLY NEW SHOP, located in the basement of the Hopwood United Methodist Church, will be open from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Clothes, jewelry and miscellaneous items will be for sale.
