Luzerne releases police report
LUZERNE TWP. – The Luzerne Township police patrolled 1,678 miles in April, handling one call involving an abandoned vehicle, one for animals running loose, and one assault case with one arrest made. The officers assisted ambulance crews once, fire departments twice, the Brownsville police six times and the Redstone police eight times.
The department received assistance from the Brownsville police once and the Redstone police twice during the month.
There were two burglaries, one burning complaint, two child custody disputes, one case of criminal mischief and two disabled vehicles. Two arrests were made for disorderly conduct, one disturbance was reported and there were two domestic disputes. Officers received one complaint for loud music, two calls about harassment, and one call for a neighbor dispute.
The police responded to one call about a prowler, made two arrests for public drunkenness and two arrests for recklessly endangering another person.
There was one incident of shots fired, three suspicious persons, and one arrest made for terroristic threats.
There were three thefts, one traffic accident and one case of trespassing. Officers handled one case of unauthorized use of a vehicle, had three vehicles towed and served two warrants. There were 24 traffic citations issued, and nine calls listed in miscellaneous categories.
