Smith-Higinbotham
Pete and Dotty Smith of New Kensington announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie, to Scott Higinbotham of Gold Kettle Drive, Gaithersburg, Md., son of Lloyd and Bonnie Higinbotham of Grindstone. The bride-elect is a graduate of Burrell High School and received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Penn State University and a master of science degree in marine science from the University of Georgia. She is an analyst with PBS & J in Beltsville, Md.
Her fianc’ is a graduate of Brownsville Area High School and earned a bachelor of architectural engineering degree from Penn State University. He is a design engineer with Rathgeber/Goss Associates in Rockville, Md.
A May 17, 2003, wedding is being planned.
